We manage Every Moment Counts Tour, a national public health initiative focused on increasing awareness of hepatitis C, providing free hepatitis C screening, and connecting individuals to treatment and care.
Since launching in 2018, the tour has traveled throughout the United States, bringing education, testing, and linkage-to-care services directly into communities where barriers to healthcare access often exist. Our goal is to identify individuals living with hepatitis C and help ensure they receive the support needed to access treatment and achieve a cure.
We will be working with Roanoke Rescue mission as well as other community partners in Roanoke.
The event would provide:
• Free hepatitis C education and screening.
• On-site confirmatory testing for active infection.
• Immediate linkage to care for individuals who test positive.
• Community resource engagement and health outreach.
