16th Annual 'Pumpkin 4 Kids' Project Benefiting Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU
SUMMARY
Richmond’s largest corporate pumpkin painting contest returns for its 16th year on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Fine Creek Brewing Company. The annual 'Pumpkin 4 Kids' Project is expected to bring together 75–100 corporate teams for an afternoon of pumpkin painting, team building, friendly competition and fundraising benefiting Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and 100% of team participation fees support field trips for children in the hospital’s Transitional Care Unit. Organizers have set a 2026 fundraising goal of more than $15,000.
RICHMOND, Va. — The 16th Annual Pumpkin 4 Kids Project returns Friday, October 23, 2026, bringing Richmond-area companies and the community together for an afternoon of pumpkin painting, team building, friendly competition and fundraising — all benefiting Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
The event will feature Richmond’s largest corporate pumpkin painting contest, along with a silent auction, games, DJ, food, beer and wine at Fine Creek Brewing Company.
The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
Companies are invited to enter a team(s) in the pumpkin painting competition for a $25 participation fee per team. 100% of participation fees benefit field trips for children in the Transitional Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Teams are encouraged to get creative! Create your pumpkin masterpiece and come dressed for the occasion — judges will award additional points for costumes that complement your pumpkin.
PRIZES & COMMUNITY DISPLAYS
The Top 10 painted pumpkins will receive trophies and prizes.
The Top 20 pumpkins will be displayed throughout the community, including at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU and its satellite offices, Chippenham Hospital’s Pediatric Unit, Johnston-Willis Hospital and local senior living facilities.

Overnight stay at the Fine Creek Cottages + $50 to Fine Creek Brewing Company
