Zombie Antigone, Or the Show Must Go On by Wendy-Marie Martin and directed by Danielle Barre. It’s the night Sloane has been building toward all year: her high school theatre capstone production! This feminist reimagining of Antigone is sure to be her ticket to a full ride at NYU. With a scholarship scout on the way, Sloane is determined to deliver a perfect evening of theatre. When a zombie apocalypse breaks out during the final run, Sloane lives by one rule: the show must go on. Luckily, zombies, it turns out, take direction surprisingly well. A comic mashup of Greek tragedy and horror-comedy about ambition, control, and refusing to let anything, even a zombie apocalypse, get between you and your dreams. Zombie Antigone, Or the Show Must Go On will be performed as a staged reading by Hollins first years. Free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations required.
