Korean Festival of Letters: Hangul Day
Join us for the 2026 Hangul Festival as we celebrate the Korean language, culture, creativity, and community!
Discover the beauty and history of Hangul (한글), the Korean alphabet, while experiencing Korean culture through an afternoon of interactive activities and entertainment.
Enjoy Hangul calligraphy, cultural performances, hands-on activities, and more. Whether you already love Korean culture or are discovering it for the first time, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Bring your family and friends and help us celebrate the language and culture that connect Roanoke and our Sister City of Wonju, South Korea.
Free and welcoming to all. No registration required; walk-ins welcome!
Presented by the Roanoke Valley Sister Cities – Wonju Committee, with support from the Taubman Museum of Art, Vinton WorldTrekkers, and Roanoke Valley Sister Cities.
